I realize my love for music was shaped by my environment and family from the very beginning.
Some of my earliest memories are sitting on the stairs at my grandmother's house while she hosted basement parties throughout the '90s. The music never stopped. My mom was a singer. My uncle was a DJ. Everywhere I looked, music was bringing people together.
Before I understood what being an artist meant, I understood what music could do.
It could make people celebrate.
It could help people heal.
It could make people feel something.
That's what made me fall in love with it. I don't make music because it sounds good. I make music because it helps me understand life.
